Graduate of NA in 2010. Was active in the music program from 4th grade on. Played in concert band and the marching band along with taking music theory and other music education classes. Helped structure my life and provided good electives to get involved with.

Yeah, band is pretty cool.

Music is an integral part of the education students need to succeed in the 21st century. Let's work together to ensure music is not relegated as an "accessory" class subject to budget cuts.

I began playing trumpet in 5th grade, never realizing just how much I would love it! Without the excellent elementary music programs we have at NA, I would have never thought to play an instrument. Now, I am fully involved in the marching band and the Concert Band at NAI, with plans to continue playing throughout the rest of my life. Music makes life worth living!

I have enjoyed band in elementary school and cant wait to be able to be in the marching band.

I am a proud chorus student at IMS, and where would we be without our music program. IMS, CMS, and MMS are ranked 2nd, 12th, and 14th respectively in Western PA, and how far would we fall if it weren't for music? Don't let the music stop, let's keep it firm and strong!

Keep the arts in the schools!

I love band! I started when I was in 4th grade, and so did my dad and aunt when they went to NA. I can't see this program go away.

Music education has been and continues to be very important to our two children. Also, maintaining a solid educational program maintains both the value of the NA scholl program and the value of our property.

Band is my favorite part of school. Music lets you express yourself like never before. If this is taken away from the Elementary Schools. How can they express this creativity?

I love band in North Allegheny, and I was deeply saddened to hear that elemenatry music may be eliminated from NA's curriculum. Music is such a beautiful art and form of expression. It would be cruel to deny future students the opportunity to pursue the instrumental music experience. If there ever was an international language, it would be the language of music. Please allow NA's students to continue communicating through their wonderful music.

They shouldnt cancel the music program it takes away alot of diversity in our schools.

Why get rid of band?! I don't play, but i like band. and if you take away orchastra, what other type of music will we have left?

I am an NA alum, music educator and parent. I fully support music and the arts and hope that North Allegheny will not make this mistake.

I played 3 instruments at Franklin and loved it!
